Wexford’s Red Chair is a relatively new club (2 years old) that runs in the comfy and vibey confines of the Bean n Berry coffee house.
Two and a half hours of driving in torrential rain got us there, and it was wonderful to walk into such a comfortable and friendly spot. The first half the evening was an open mic, and it was lovely to have a nice coffee and listen to some superb tunes.
Host and compere Alan introduced me for my guest slot and I did about 40 minutes. Wexford has always been good to me, and last night was no exception, with a very friendly and fun audience giving me a great response and buying up lots of CDs after.
